i'm thinking about moving to olympia to establish state residency. i'm psyched about potentially slogging through wet weather, being an active member of varied communities, being able to bike places, etc etc-- the only thing deterring me is anecdotes from people that the job market in olympia is impossible to penetrate, especially to young student types like me. i need, at the very least, part-time work, but ideally something relatively dependable for (at least) a year.
so, what's the deal? are part-time jobs or anything at all really that scarce? how do grown ups survive?
thank you so much for any thoughts at all!
